Kim James, YLC Executive Director

Kim James serves as the Executive Director for the Young Leaders Council. With more than 18 years of extensive community relations, program management, donor engagement, and communications experience, Kim is a graduate of Fisk University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in financial economics before obtaining a master’s degree in business administration from Tennessee State University in 2003. She was selected as one of the Nashville Business Journal’s Most Admired CEOs for 2024 and was featured among the Nashville Post “The Mentors” for 2024. Kim was also selected by Junior League of Nashville to receive the 2024 Paragon Award for Outstanding Community Service and is a 2018 recipient of the Women in Leadership of Central Illinois’ Woman Leader of the Year Award. In addition, Kim is a YLC Nashville Class 49 graduate, and a 2018 graduate of the Peoria Area Chamber of Commerce Community Leadership School.

Holly Clark
Alumni Engagement & Events Manager

Holly Clark serves as the Alumni Engagement and Events Manager for Young Leaders Council. She is a 2017 alumna of YLC, interning on the board of Friends of Warner Parks. She has more than 15 years of experience with Nashville’s nonprofit community in event planning and development roles most recently serving as Safe Haven Family Shelter’s event director. Holly was also director of development and communications at Nashville OIC and was the manager at the Nashville Chamber Public Benefit Foundation.  At the Foundation, she planned Project Homeless Connect and Nashville’s Poverty Symposium working toward reducing poverty and homelessness in Nashville. She is originally from Montgomery, Alabama, and is a graduate of Auburn University.

Rachel Reyes
Program Manager

Rachel Reyes is a native to the Nashville area and is grateful to serve at Program Manager for YLC, managing admissions, internship placement and communications with nonprofit friends and program participants. She graduated from Lipscomb University with a degree in Strategic Communication/PR, and has served in the nonprofit program management and event planning space for over 4 years now. She is a graduate of YLC’s Spring 2022 Nashville Class. Rachel lives in the Nashville area with her husband and enjoys cooking, walking, hosting friends and exploring new restaurants!
